Thomas Skinner obliterates Keir Starmer as BBC Strictly star unleashes furious statement: 'Stop talking like we're THICK!'

Thomas Skinner has shared a passionate social media post targeting Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer after he pledged to "cut red tape" for businesses.
The Labour leader took to X on Tuesday to promise his followers and the public that his government was "investing in Britain's future" and promised to cut the red tape that "holds businesses back".
The post on X garnered a flood of responses from members of the public and small business owners, including Mr Skinner.
While he may be best known for stints on The Apprentice, Celebrity MasterChef, and Strictly, Mr Skinner owns his own mattress company and regularly updates his followers on his day-to-day running of the business.

As a result, the hardship facing small business owners in the UK is one that Mr Skinner takes rather personally.
And on Tuesday, he decided to give the Prime Minister a piece of his mind, telling the Labour leader to "stop talking like we are thick".
He fumed: "Cutting red tape…you have done the exact opposite, and every small business owner in Britain knows this. We got more rules, more costs, more hassle on the very people who graft and keep this country afloat.
"The new day one rights and dismissal laws mean that every little shop or builder needs a lawyer just to hire or let someone go."

Delving further, he hit out: "You whacked up wages but never gave a cut in business rates. There's been no NI relief and no VAT help, basically just shoving the bills on the people who create the jobs.
"You froze the VAT threshold so more firms get dragged into the tax net… basically a stealth grab on the self-employed. You promised to fix planning and rates, and you haven’t shifted a thing.
"And don’t even get me started on the inheritance tax on farmers… These are people that are putting food on our tables. The very people battling against losing all the food coming from overseas and abroad."
After reeling off his examples, Mr Skinner's plea to the PM went on: "Our high streets are dying and you need to be looking into giving more relief on business rates… I could go on all day. And yes, I know you didn’t start in a great position, but a lot more can be done than just listening to your analysts who have never actually run a business."

He concluded his rant by urging the Prime Minister to stop "acting like you're doing us a favour" and pointed to "shops closing, cafes folding and family firms dying at an alarming rate".
Mr Skinner added: "Small businesses are the backbone of Britain. The butcher, the builder, the café, the market stall. They are the real people who have no safety net. You should be helping them breathe, not strangling them.
"You don’t 'invest in the future' by bleeding out the people who build it," he signed off, alongside his signature catchphrase: "Bosh."
It didn't take long for hundreds of Mr Skinner's followers to spot his impassioned statement, with many taking to the replies to echo the sentiment.
Kier you gotta stop talking like we are thick. Cutting red tape…..you have done the exact opposite and every small business owner in Britain knows this. We got more rules, more costs, more hassle on the very people who graft and keep this country afloat.
The new day one rights…— Thomas Skinner ⚒ (@iamtomskinner) October 21, 2025
"Great point, Thomas," one X user agreed before a second weighed in: "Bl**dy Hell... well said!!!"
Meanwhile, a third added: "Tom Skinner speaks for us all. Listen Starmer. We just want to work, look after our family and be happy.
"Stop jetting round the world trying to look important and do what you are meant to do… look after the people in this country. Well said, Mr Tom Skinner."
And a fourth concurred: "Nail on the head. I’ve been selling beds for 22yrs. This year has been dire. I work for a family business in the North East, whilst very successful, the pinch is real, and I feel for my employer, I feel for anyone who wants to make it, or try to make it. It’s tough." (sic)
Thomas Skinner's emotional exit speech with Amy Dowden as they become the first couple voted out of this season's BBC Strictly Come Dancing
This isn't the first time Mr Skinner has taken aim at the current Labour government and their performance in Number 10.
Earlier this month, Mr Skinner accused Mr Starmer and co of turning Britain into a "welfare state" with its policies and "attacks" on business owners.
He hit out: "Instead of backing the grafters, the people who actually keep this country going. They’ve made it harder to earn a living, harder to grow, harder to breathe."
The outbursts have come just weeks after Mr Skinner and his partner Amy Dowden were booted off this year's Strictly at the first elimination of the series.
