'He was a maverick' - Camilla Tominey pays heartfelt tribute to friend and mentor on GB News

Watch Camilla Tominey pay tribute to a friend and mentor to the GB News star Martin Townsend, who died on Friday after battling cancer for 18 months.

"I need to hold it together now because I want to pay tribute to a friend and mentor of mine, a great friend to GB News and a lot of the people that work here," Camilla said at the start of her Sunday morning show.

"He was a maverick. He was mercurial. He was the best boss you could ever work for, and I have to say that I would not be sitting here on GB News if it wasn't for the encouragement and the support of this great journalistic mentor to many, not just me, but he helped to carve out the careers of so many successful journalists in Fleet Street.

"I just want to acknowledge the passing of a journalistic giant, but also a proper gentleman," Camilla concluded.
