Enzo Fernandez's girlfriend speaks out after flirty message sent by former Argentina star's ex-wife

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has found himself at the centre of an awkward love triangle after receiving a flirty text from former Argentina star Mauro Icardi’s ex-wife Wanda Nara.

The message has reportedly sparked tension with his long-term partner Valentina Cervantes, who's currently competing on Celebrity MasterChef Argentina - a show presented by Nara.

The 38-year-old host allegedly sent Fernandez a message that caught him off guard while his girlfriend was filming the show.

However, the 24-year-old footballer is believed to have shown the text messages directly to Cervantes.

According to Argentine journalist Santiago Sposato, the message from Nara read: "I just saw you around the neighbourhood, write to me if you want."

Rather than reply to the 38-year-old former wife of footballer Mauro Icardi, Fernandez immediately showed the text to Cervantes.

This decision reportedly annoyed Wanda, which allegedly led to conflict between the two women on set.

Magazine Caras claims Cervantes feels "uncomfortable" whenever she encounters Nara on set, though the 25-year-old has publicly denied that any problems exist between them.

Cervantes has given puzzling statements about the alleged messages when questioned on the Argentine TV show, SQP.

"Yes, I saw it. No, as far as I know, I haven't seen any messages," she said in bizarrely contradictory remarks that have left people wondering what actually happened.

She insisted: "No, no, Enzo never spoke to me about anything. No, he never spoke to me about any of that.

She then went on to add: “I saw it the other day. I was just telling the guy, my family sent me the clips, because I don’t watch TV at home.”

The 25-year-old also claimed she hadn't bothered asking Fernandez about the situation, saying her family had sent her clips from TV coverage, but she didn't want to trouble him "about something like that."

Despite reports of awkward moments during filming, Cervantes maintains there's no issue with Nara.

Wanda has a colourful romantic past, having been married to footballer Maxi Lopez from 2008 to 2013 before marrying his then-team-mate Icardi.

That marriage lasted ten years but ended in divorce last year after multiple break-ups and reconciliations.

She's since been linked to musician L-Gante and PSG player Achraf Hakimi.

Fernandez and Cervantes are childhood sweethearts who share two children - a five-year-old daughter and a son turning two this Sunday.

The couple briefly separated last October when Valentina announced their split on Instagram, but they reconciled earlier this year and have been together since.
