Disgraced ex-President Bill Clinton was seen sporting a mysterious bandage on Sunday as he greeted his daughter Chelsea.

Mr Clinton, 79, was spotted at the finish line of the New York City Marathon alongside his wife Hillary.

His plaster-covered nose was clearly visible in a series of photographs from the NYC finish line as he congratulated Chelsea.

However, it remains unclear exactly what happened to the former Commander-in-Chief.

The 42nd President has endured a series of health scares since leaving office in 2001.

Mere months ago, he was seen leaving an airport while his staffers appeared to be carrying a defibrilator.

Just three years after his White House exit, Mr Clinton received a quadruple bypass after doctors found a near-total blockage in some of his arteries.

He was said to have narrowly avoided a heart attack thanks to the surgery.

Just one year later, aged 58, he suffered a collapsed lung.

In 2021, he was rushed to hospital for a urinary tract infection - then, in 2022, he contracted Covid.

He is not the only former President to have raised eyebrows in recent months in public.

In early September, Joe Biden was caught on camera leaving a church in Delaware with an inches-long scar on the right side of his scalp.

He had, like Mr Clinton, been seen earlier wearing a bandage.

Political consultant Fred Karger, who captured footage of the one-term ex-President Biden, told Inside Edition: "I was a little surprised, because it’s a noticeable scar.

"It looks fresh, a little hair combed over the scar. It looks to me like someone who had several basal cells, skin cancers removed from his head."

Mr Biden's successor - and predecessor - in office, Donald Trump, revealed just days ago he had undergone an MRI scan.

"I got an MRI. It was perfect," Mr Trump revealed aboard Air Force One on Monday, as he travelled to Asia for a series of major international summits.

The scan took place during the President's visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre, when his physician said he was in "exceptional health".

Though he would not be drawn on exactly why he got the scan, which can be used to check for a wide range of issues.

"The doctor said [it] was some of the best reports, for the age, they've ever seen," Mr Trump, 79, said.
